Cobie Smulders
Jacoba " Cobie " Smulders Maria Francisca ( born April 3, 1982 in Vancouver, British Columbia) is a Canadian actress and former fashion model.
Life
Cobie Smulders is the daughter of an English mother and a Dutchman. She was named after her Dutch great-aunt, Jacoba, for which she got the nickname " Cobie ". As a child she wanted to be a doctor or a marine biologist. In high school, however, in which they later played her first roles, their interest grew in acting. As a teenager, she was discovered by a modeling agency and began a modeling career, which led, among others, France, Japan, Italy, Greece and Germany. She graduated from high school in 2000 with the award of the " most respected person " from, continued to work as a model and eventually settled in Los Angeles to start her acting career.
Her first appearance was a guest role in the produced by the U.S. broadcaster Showtime broadcast Jeremiah. After that, she was booked for another series, she had a recurring role in The L Word, for example. Your first permanent employment was the role of Juliet in the ABC series Veritas: The Quest, but this was not continued after only 13 episodes.

They took over this role in an episode of the ABC series Marvel's Agents of SHIELD and in the sequel, The Return of the First Avenger. 2013, it was in the Nicholas Sparks adaptation Safe Haven - How to see a light at night.
Since How I Met Your Mother comes Smulders ' standard German dubbing voice of Christine Stichler.
Personal
On 16 May 2009, Smulders and her fiancé, actor Taran Killam and comedian, parents of a daughter. The two were married on 9 September 2012 in a Ranch Resort in Solvang, California and live in Los Angeles.
