Cobra Killer
The Berlin-based electro punk / garage duo Cobra Killer, Gina V. D' Orio consisting of and Annika Line Trost, began her career as part of the digital hardcore movement by Alec Empire. Both were members of other bands from AEmpires label Digital Hardcore Recordings. D' Orio played at that time still in EC8OR and solace with Shizuo. As Empires label many bands canceled the contracts, crumbled most of them, but Cobra Killer continued.
Founded in January 1998 The Cobra Killer duo joined, among others, with Peaches and Sonic Youth on, the latter had to recognize envy. :
"We played a couple shows synthesis load few nights in Germany with a band called Cobra Killer did completely knocked us out [ ... ] It's two girls & a sampler, and it was just phenomenal, like two of the most inspiring shows on a lot of different levels. I really loved it. "
Unique is Cobra Killers stage show: The artists beschütten on stage with a bottle of red wine, while " beguile " hysterical 1960s samples with apocalyptic siren songs of their audience.
