Cobra Starship

Cobra Starship is an American pop - punk band, which was founded by former Midtown band member Gabe Saporta. The band consists of Gabe Saporta, Ryland Blackinton, Alex Suarez, Nate Novarro and Victoria Asher aka Vicky -T. Their music is a blend of alternative rock and pop punk with electronic sounds and synth pop.

History

Cobra Starship was founded by former Midtown lead vocalist Gabe Saporta in 2005. The band's name comes from the imprint on the back of his retro jackets. He worked with William Beckett of The Academy Is .., Travis McCoy from Gym Class Heroes, Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy and Maja Ivarsson of The Sounds on a song for the film Snakes on a Plane. Snakes on a Plane ( Bring It! ) Was published on 15 August 2006 for the soundtrack to the film.

Due to Austria 's Next Top Model was the single Good Girls Go Bad, which was used there as theme music, very well known in Austria. The song, on which the actress Leighton Meester will be heard as guest vocalist, is located on the third album Hot Mess. 2010 was Cobra Starship with the German bands I Heart Sharks and ' One Night Stand! ' on tour in Germany. Currently, Cobra Starship are in the studio to record their fourth album. For this, they even broke off their Australian tour.

The previously commercially greatest success had Cobra Starship .... who managed with the song You Make Me Feel at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100, # 10 in the World Charts and # 1 on the New Zealand charts. In Germany, the song has so far been unsuccessful. In the video you can see from 1:12 two musicians from the indie pop band Fun, who already had a hit with We Are Young (featuring Janelle Monáe ) in America.
