Coclé Province

Veraguas is a province in Panama and faces the Gulf of Panama.

The capital of Veraguas is Penonomé the Río Chiguirí. The main economic factors are animal husbandry and agriculture, especially the cultivation of rice and sugarcane. In Veraguas is the archaeological site of El Caño.

The 16th President of Panamá Harmodio Arias Madrid also comes from the province of Veraguas.
