Cococciola

Cococciola is a white grape variety which is grown mainly in the Italian regions of Abruzzo and Puglia. Recommended is their cultivation in the provinces of L' Aquila, Chieti and Pescara (all in the region of Abruzzo ). Admitted she is also in the provinces of Teramo and Foggia. Furthermore, smaller vineyards in Argentina, Brazil, France and Spain are known. In Italy, 1,428 hectares under vine were collected in 1982. The wines of the late-ripening varieties are used almost exclusively blended with other varieties. The white wines are incorporated into the DOC wine Trebbiano d'Abruzzo.
