Coconut jam

Kaya is a coconut jam to a traditional recipe from Malaysia and Indonesia.

Kaya is made from sugar, eggs and coconut milk and flavored with the extract of leaves of the tree screws. In this case, all the ingredients are first mixed well and then stirred over low heat until the sugar is completely auskaramellisiert, so the mass is concentrated.

The color of natural Kaya is reddish brown due to the caramelized sugar.
