Coconut Records

Coconut Records is a German independent record label that was founded in January 1981 by the producer Tony Hendrik and Karin Hartmann and was connected to a distribution contract with Hansa Records. One of the first bands in the catalog was the girl - trio À La Carte with constantly changing cast. Their single You Get Me On The Run ( January 1981) was the first who helped the young label to attention when she was ranked 41 on the German charts. Greatest success was the Euro dance hit by Haddaway What Is Love, who realized 2.6 million copies worldwide.

The previous owner Hendrik / van Haaren sold Coconut Records in January 2007 Coconut Music Ltd.. & Co. KG, an international group of investors behind the stands.
