The Cocytus ( Greek: Κοκύτος ancient Greek Κώκυτος ( m. sg. ) ) Is a river in the Greek region of Epirus, which rises in the mountains of Paramithia ( Ori Paramythias ) and flows south through the valley of Paramithia. At the intersection between the southern end of the valley of Paramithia and the field of silted in the presence Acherousia Lake of Cocytus flows into the river Acheron.
