Code of Canons of the Eastern Churches

The Codex Canonum Ecclesiarum Orientalium ( CCEO ) is the Code of the Eastern Catholic Churches. The legalistic equivalent of the Latin particular Church (ie Roman Church ), the Code of Canon Law (CIC).

The CCEO was promulgated on 18 October 1990 with the Apostolic Constitution Sacri canons of Pope John Paul II. It regulates the canonical concerns of the Eastern Churches united with Rome 22.
