Coffeyville is a city with about 10,000 inhabitants in Montgomery County in the southeastern part of the U.S. state of Kansas.

The site is drained by the Verdigris River. The nearest major center is the Tulsa about 150 km away. Oklahoma City and Kansas City are each about 300 km away. In Coffeyville intersect the highways U.S. Route 166 and U.S. Route 169

Coffeyville was founded in 1869 as a trading post of Colonel James A. Coffey and covers 18.3 km ² without significant water surface.

The city is known as the Dalton brothers on October 5, 1892 there tried to rob two banks simultaneously. The plan failed and the Daltons came - up to Emmett - killed. The ridge and Bob Dalton brothers and Bill Power, a member of her band were buried in the town cemetery; their graves can still be seen today.
