Cofidis

Cofidis is a French consumer bank.

Cofidis (now BNP Paribas Personal Finance SA ) founded in 1982 as a joint venture by the French mail-order company 3 Suisses International and the Cetelem credit bank. Cofidis specializes in consumer loans that are offered via telephone and internet.

In 2003, the Crédit Mutuel Nord Europe and Cofidis have formed a joint venture Créfidis. In 2004, Cofidis has taken a share of 66 percent on the C2C, a financial services provider to the Camif group.

Cofidis is based in Villeneuve d'Ascq in the department of Nord. Cofidis has about 3,100 employees.

The Otto Group holds 41.2 percent of Cofidis.

Cofidis is the main sponsor of the cycling team Cofidis Équipe.
