Cognin

Cognin is a commune of the department of Savoie in the Rhone -Alpes. Administratively, it is the district of Chambéry, and the eponymous canton Cognin whose capital is allocated.

Geography

Cognin is a suburb of the city of Chambery. It is located about 40 kilometers north of Grenoble, about 80 kilometers south-east of Lyon and about 20 kilometers south of Annecy on the river Hyère.
