Cogolin
Cogolin is a commune with 11,119 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the Var.
General
In the center of the working-class city, a church from the 16th century, doorways find green marble and vaulted passageways.
Port- Cogolin, five kilometers away from the city, has a beautiful sandy beach and a large marina with berths in 1800, mimicking the style of the adjacent Port Grimaud.
History
General de Lattre de Tassigny had in Cogolin in 1944 during the battle for the liberation of Provence his headquarters.
