The Faucille (German Sichelberg ) is a mountain pass on the French Jura. The name derives from its crescent-shaped silhouette high above Lake Geneva. He is a portion of 1804, during the reign of Napoleon developed main road from Dijon to Geneva (RD 1005 previous RN 5). The summit is 1320 m. The pass is located in the French department of Ain ​​between the municipalities Mijoux and Gex.

During the ascent of the north, one passes from Gex, 1040 m above sea level, the Fontaine Napoléon, a source of running water.

Directly on the pass, lies the ski resort Mijoux -La Faucille, the cable car to the Petit Montrond ( 1534m ) leads. From there, departures are possible down to Mijoux (1000 m). This area belongs to the winter sports resort Monts Jura, which is administered by the Communauté de communes du Pays de Gex.

The Faucille is the limit of the free trade zone of the Pays de Gex. The office has now outlived its usefulness.
