Colby Pearce

Colby Pearce ( born June 12, 1972 in Boulder) is an American track and road racing cyclist.

Colby Pearce was on the track for the first time in 1999, American champion in the points race. In the following years he was a second time national champion in the points race six times in a two - team driving, five times in the team pursuit and once in Scratch. In 2003 he won the bronze medal in Madison along with James Carney at the Pan games. During the 2004 season, he won the World Cup the scratch in Aguascalientes and the points race in Sydney. At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Pearce took part in the points race, where he finished in 14th place. In 2007 he was Pan champion in Madison along with Brad Huff.

On the road, Colby Pearce began his career in 1996 at the U.S. Cycling Team Shaklee. In 1998 he drove Cyclist - Ikon - Lexus of Colorado, before he moved again in 1999 back to Shaklee. In 2001 he drove for the Prime Alliance Cycling Team and the next two years for Ofoto - Lombardi Sports. In the 2005 season, Pearce stood still for half a year at TIAA -CREF under contract. In the years 2008 and 2009 he won a stage at the Gateway Cup.

In November 2005, Pearce ended his active career and was coach of the U.S. track cycling team for the endurance events. In April 2007, he resigned from his position as a coach and drove back racing again.
