Cole Jarrett
Cole Jarrett ( born January 4, 1983 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who was taken in mid March 2013 by EC VSV in the Austrian Hockey League contract.
Career
Jarrett started his career in 1999 at the Plymouth Whalers in the Canadian Junior Football League OHL. Already in its second year, the defender was able to achieve 48 points scorer in 60 games and was the best point defender of his team. Over the next two years, Jarrett was able to maintain his Scorer qualities and further increase his points total. Consequently, the scouts of various NHL teams were aware of the left-handed shooters, so he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2001 in the fifth round at 141 instead of the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Cole Jarrett Then moved to the American Hockey League to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. After initial difficulties, the defensive player was able to prevail there and came at the end even three NHL inserts for the cooperation partner New York Islanders. However, a jump in the National Hockey League was unlikely, and so the Canadians closed for the season 2006 /07 the polar bear at Berlin. First, Jarrett got a one-year contract which was not renewed at the end of the season, so he HPK Hämeenlinna to the highest Finnish league, the SM- liiga, changed. Here, however, he could not convince those in charge also of himself and left the club even during the current season. At the end of the defender signed a contract with Jokerit Helsinki, but could not prevail there too and joined the club again. His last career station in the 2007/ 08 season were then the Malmö Redhawks.
After he finished the season 2008/ 09 for the Sinupret Ice Tigers, he joined the following season to the Graz 99ers. From there he moved after just one season to Asia in the Asia League Ice Hockey at the Tohoku Free Blades to return to occur only after a successful season the way back to Graz. With the Japanese hockey club Jarrett was in the 2010/11 season champion, he also was with 18 goals and 51 points scorer statistically the best defender in the league. On his return to Austria, he was appointed captain of the 99ers, but could not with the team qualify for the play- offs, but his contract was extended for another year in February 2012. In the following season 2012/13 he made with the team made it into the play-offs, where the team was eliminated in the quarterfinals to eventual champion EC KAC. On 15 March 2013, the exchange Jarrett's within the league for EC VSV was announced; he received a contract with a term of two years.
