Coleman Company

The Coleman Company, Inc. is an American manufacturer of leisure and outdoor products, is part of the Jarden Corporation.

The company was founded in 1900 by William Coffin Coleman in Kingfisher, Oklahoma in 1902 and moved to Wichita, Kansas.

The company is based in Wichita today, there is also a location in Texas. The company has about 3690 employees. Coleman has a range of products for camping and leisure market in the range.

Under the title of Coleman Lantern Coleman sells high-powered lamps that are operated with kerosene, gasoline or propane, and are equipped with one or two mantles.

Coleman also produces various boiler, including the original GI Pocket Stove, also sleeping bags, coolers, generators, tents, etc. Since 1996, a part of the French manufacturer Campingaz to Coleman.

Among the now no longer produced by Coleman products include snowmobiles, tenttrailer and Hobie Cat sailboats.

A division sells heating and air conditioning products for stationary use.
