Colfax Corporation is a U.S. company based in Fulton ( Maryland), listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).

History

Colfax was founded in 1995 by brothers Steven and Mitchell Rales, with the " aggressive goal: building a global world-class industrial enterprise ."

In January 2012, ESAB and Howden were acquired for 2.4 billion U.S. dollars.

In November 2012, the factory was for electrodes in Ihtiman, Bulgaria closed ( bought in 2007 ), all 120 employees were laid off.

The company's turnover for 2012 amounted to 3 billion U.S. dollars.

In 2012, the company achieved the highest sales per employee in the machinery industry in stocks with 2.0 million U.S. dollars.
