Colin Edwards
Colin Edwards, nicknamed " Texas Tornado", ( born February 27, 1974 in Houston, Texas) is an American professional motorcycle racer and two-time World Superbike champion.
Career
Have always dreamed of the Texas Tornado of them to switch to Grand Prix racing. Despite two World Superbike titles in 2000 and 2002 Honda never gave him that chance though. After his second Superbike title in 2002, it worked but then.
Edwards was. Between 1999 and 2002 twice World Champion and twice runner-up World Champion in the World Superbike Championship With the Australian Troy Bayliss, who also joined the MotoGP class in 2003, he returned there for two years duels. For 2005 and 2006, he then signed a two -year contract at the Yamaha factory team as team-mate Valentino Rossi. He was the only driver of the entire starting field, which was in the points in all 17 Grand Prix of the 2005 season. He drove every time at least tenth place and stood on the podium three times, but so far could not win in MotoGP.
