Colin Egglesfield

Colin Egglesfield ( born February 9, 1973 in Farmington Hills, Michigan ) is an American actor. He is known for his role as Dr. Josh Madden in All My Children, as well as for the role of Auggie Kirkpatrick in Melrose Place.

Life

Colin Egglesfield was born in Farmington Hills, Michigan, the second child of William and Kathleen Egglesfield. He has an older sister named Kerry and a younger brother named Sean. He spent his childhood in the Detroit area before his family moved to Crete, a small town south of Chicago, moved at the age of ten years.

His dream was to follow in the footsteps of his father, who works as a doctor. At the same time he developed an interest in acting. After high school graduation at the Marian Catholic High School in Chicago Heights, he began his studies in medicine at the University of Iowa. During this time he made a backpacking trip through Europe and began working as a model. At the urging of his friends, he participated in a modeling contest and won him, then he broke off his studies and began a career as a model. He worked for Versace, Calvin Klein and Armani.
