Colin Murphy (ice hockey)

Colin Murphy ( * April 11, 1980 in Fort McMurray, Alberta ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since 2010 in the Hamburg Freezers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga under contract.

Career

Colin Murphy began his career as a hockey player in the team of Michigan Technological University, where he was active from 2001 to 2005 during playing of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Towards the end of the 2004/05 season was the attacker made ​​his debut in professional hockey, as he stood in a total of 17 games for the St. John 's Maple Leafs of the American Hockey League on the ice. Then the Canadians received a contract with their successor team, the Toronto Marlies, where he played the following three seasons.
