Colin Osborne

Colin Osborne ( born June 19, 1975 in Middlesbrough ) is an English darts player, who is currently in the PDC under contract. His nickname is " Ozzy " and his theme song is Unbelievable by EMF.

Career

In his first PDC World Cup 2007 Osborne could reach the quarter- finals where he was defeated, however, Andy Jenkins with 4:5 after victories against Kevin Painter (3:1), Wes Newton (4-2 ) and Roland Scholten (4-2 ). On this success, he was able to continue, as he reached the semi-finals of the PDC UK Open 2007, in which he narrowly lost 10:11 against Vincent van der Voort. In the same year he was also able to beat James Wade in the first round of the Las Vegas Desert Classic, but then lost to Peter Manley.

In the welter championship in 2008 he was defeated in the first round, surprising the Dutchman Erwin Extercatte with 1:3. At the Grand Slam of Darts 2010, he initially lost his first match in the group against Robert Thornton, but then won against Whitlock and Dave Chisnall and could thus move in a second group into the knockout stages. In this he then defeated Gary Anderson with 3:10. Also in the 2011 World Championships as he could, after victories against Chris Thompson ( 3-1 ) and Jamie Caven ( 4-0) to reach the knockout stage, where he however after a 3-2 set lead even with 3:4 against Raymond van Barneveld lost.

In the PDC World Darts Championship 2012, he lost in the first round with 1-3 against Michael van Gerwen and also at the World Championships in 2013, he left early. In his career, Osborne was able to achieve two nine dart finishes. The first one he threw at the event on the Isle of Wight in 2005 and the Second succeeded him in the qualifying tournament for the World Matchplay 2005.
