Colle San Magno
Colle San Magno is a municipality in the province of Frosinone in the Italian region Latium, located about 734 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012). It is located 124 km southeast of Rome and 43 km southeast of Frosinone.
Geography
Colle San Magno located in a high valley on the western slopes of Monte Cairo in the countryside of Ciociaria. It includes the hamlets of Cantalupo, Varciosa, formatting, and Tigione Scanole. Colle San Magno is a member of the Comunità Montana Valle del Liri.
The nearby towns are: Casalattico, Castrocielo Piedimonte San Germano, Roccasecca, Santopadre and Terelle.

The nearest train station is Roccasecca on the railway line Rome - Naples, 10 km away.
History
As 590 AD Aquinum was destroyed by the Lombards, the surviving inhabitants founded on the nearby Monte Asprano Castrum Coeli ( Sky Fortress ). However, since this place was suffering from lack of water, the inhabitants settled in the 11th century into deeper layers around. The church today Colle San Magno, Castrocielo and Roccasecca were founded. To the north of today's first district Cantalupo was settled. Only later was Colle San Magno.
