Coloane

Coloane (路 环岛chinese /路 环岛, Pinyin Luhuan Dǎo ) is a city on the island of the same part in the Macao Special Administrative Region, People's Republic of China. Within the township of Coloane 3,292 people ( 2006 census ) in an area of ​​7.6 square kilometers. The population density is 433 inhabitants per square kilometer.

Geography

Coloane lies south of the Macau Peninsula and east of the island Hengqin, which is part of the city of Zhuhai in Guangdong province. 2001, the island of Coloane was connected by land reclamation with Taipa Island to a larger island with an area of 19.3 square miles (as of 2005 ).
