History
1954 developed the nurse Elise Sorensen for her sister Thora the first ostomy bag made of plastic with self-adhesive Zinkoxidflächen. It consisted of a still -used two-part system principle, from a bag of excrement and an adjustable ring to the skin.
In cooperation with the plastic factory Louis- Hansen Coloplast A / S was founded in 1957 in Denmark.
