Colorado City is a town in Mohave County in the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Arizona, known as the Arizona Strip. Although the town the name City in its name, it is a Town. There live 3334 people in an area of 27.2 km ². The population density is 122.5 inhabitants / km ². The village is bordered to the north by Hildale, Utah, and with it forms a double city, which is known as Short Creek. The area is accessed by Arizona State Route 389 east to U.S. Highway 89A and the Utah State Route 59 to the northwest toward Hurricane.

The place was founded by followers of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -day Saints, an offshoot of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -day Saints ( " Mormons " ) in 1913, and has remained a settlement focus of the church members.

In the U.S. census for 2010 Colorado City was rated as " youngest city " of the United States determined with a mean age of 12.6 years.
