Colorado Railroad Museum

The Colorado Railroad Museum is founded in 1959 and operated by a private club railway museum with an associated museum railway. It is located near Golden in the U.S. state of Colorado at the foot of North Table Mountain.

The museum, a replica of a railroad depot from the 1880s, is home to many testimonies of over 125 years of railway history of Colorado. These include photographs, documents and objects of all kinds of rail operations.

Exhibits

There are over 100 rail vehicles issued standard and narrow track in the track gauge of which 12 locomotives.

The " Robert W. Richardson Library" at the museum includes over 10,000 volumes railway literature and its own restoration workshop was established in 2000 with the " Cornelius W. Hauck Restoration Facility " inaugurated in the form of a roundhouse.

Model Railways

The model railway of the Denver HO Model Railroad Club in H0 scale is located on the ground floor of the museum and can be visited every month on the first Thursday. Outside is the G -track system of the Denver Garden Railway Society.
