Colorno

Colorno is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 8910 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Parma, in Emilia -Romagna. The municipality is situated approximately 14 km north-northeast of Parma and less than 4 km below the buttocks. Colorno is immediately adjacent to the province of Cremona.

History

Colorno is first mentioned in 953. Since the time of Frederick II the church was attached to the Guelphs. Finally, the fief went to the Terzi and later to the Duke of Milan and from there to the Sanseverino family. Among these, the feud has been considerably enlarged. Traffic

Through the community's former Strada Statale 343 Asolana leads from Parma to Asola, which is now downgraded to region road. At the non-electrified railway line Parma -Brescia is a train station.
