Colton Fretter

Colton Fretter ( born March 12, 1982 in Harrow, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is under contract with the EC KAC in the Austrian Hockey League since September 2013.

Career

Colton Fretter began his career as a hockey player in the team of Michigan State University, where he was active from 2002 to 2006 in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Previously, it was already selected as a junior player in the NHL Entry Draft in 2002 in the eighth round when a total of 230 players from the Atlanta Thrashers for which, however, he never played. Instead, the center was in the 2006/07 season for the Gwinnett Gladiators in the ECHL his debut in professional hockey. There he was able to convince at first and was named ECHL Rookie of the Year. After he started the following season with these, he finished the 2007/08 season for the Chicago Wolves and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League.

From 2008 to 2010 Fretter stood in the AHL ever a year for the Portland Pirates and Springfield Falcons on the ice. For the season 2010/11 he was awarded a contract with the Kassel Huskies of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. In September 2010 he moved to the insolvency of the Kassel Huskies to HC Bolzano in Italy's Serie A1. In May 2011, the striker has been committed by the Iserlohn Roosters. These left the Canadians after a season and agreed in April 2012 to a contract for the 2012/13 season plus option for extension for one year with the Game EHC Olten of the Swiss National League B.
