Colton Orr

Colton Douglas Orr ( born March 3, 1982 in Winnipeg, Manitoba ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He currently plays for the Toronto Maple Leafs in the National Hockey League on the position of the right winger.

Career

Orr played during his time at junior level between 1998 and 2003 in the Canadian junior Western Hockey League with the Swift Current Broncos, Kamloops Blazers and Regina Pats.

Already at the beginning of the season 2001/ 02 Orr had been taken as a free agent by the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League contract after he had gone unnoticed in previous NHL Entry Drafts by the teams. After moving into the professional at the end of the season 2002/ 03 he came to the end of season 2004/ 05 - with the exception of an NHL game in season 2003/ 04 - exclusively in the farm team for the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League action.

The following year, the Canadians came between early October and late November 2005 to at least 20 bets for the Boston Bruins before being committed on the waiver list of the New York Rangers. The Rangers Orr came increasingly to operations in the fourth row and could even sporadically enter into the scorers list. However, his main task was more in fist fights and hard checks. He is one of the Enforcers, which are the enemies command respect.
