Columbia Heights is a city ( with a status of "City" ) in Anoka County in the southeastern center of the U.S. state of Minnesota. In 2010, Columbia Heights had 19,496 inhabitants.

Geography
Columbia Heights is located in the northern suburban area of the cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul, near the east bank of the Mississippi. The city is located at 45 ° 02'00 " north latitude and 93 ° 16'00 " west longitude and extending over 9.12 km ², spread over 8.83 km ² land and 0.29 km ² water surface.

History
On March 14, 1898, the site of the former Township Fridley was hived off. The name of the newly formed community ( with the former town status "Village" ) was determined by a competition.
On July 21, 1921 a new church constitution was adopted and the community of the status of " City " award.
