Columbus Chill
History
The Columbus Chill was founded in 1991 as a franchise of the East Coast Hockey League. After she had missed him their first two seasons nor the playoffs for the Kelly Cup, they reached in the 1993/94 season after a second place in the North Division and a first-round victory over the Johnstown Chiefs, the second playoff round in which them in the best- of-five series were subject to the eventual champions Toledo Storm with a sweep. The second playoff round, the team from Ohio and also achieved in the seasons 1996/97 and 1998 /99. Subsequently, the franchise became inactive, so as not to have to compete with the newly formed Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League, who received the operation of gambling in the 2000 /01 season.
In summer 2001, the team has been to Reading, Pennsylvania, resettled, where it has since participating under the name Reading Royals at play operation of the ECHL.
