Comadre (band)

Comadre was a Screamo-/Hardcore-Punk-Band from San Carlos, California / USA.

History

The California band formed in March 2004 as a follow-up project of the disbanded groups One 's Own Ruin and Heart Cross Love.

With caffeine, the band released their first demo EP, the first album was followed some time afterwards. With Songs About the Man as EP version and a CD version in album length, the third and fourth panel of the group were brought to the publication. Followed in 2007 by a split with Trainwreck.

In 2008, the band went on a European tour, including by Germany, France and the Netherlands.

Style

The band mixed in their sound particularly fast, tough hardcore punk with significant Screamo and Emo elements. Rough fast hardcore punk with heavier shouted vocals alternated with screamo lastigeren songs.

The Green Light is to read about the band:

" [ ... ] Comadre [ offer ] fresh, powerfull mid-tempo hardcore of the emotional variety, roughly comparable to End On End, Funeral Diner or ( alten!! ) Envy "
