Comaetho

Komaitho (Greek Κομαιθώ ), also Komätho, in Greek mythology, the daughter of Pterelaus, the king of Taphians.

Komaitho fell in love with Amphitryon, who was with Pterelaus in the war. However Pterelaus could not be defeated because he had received from Poseidon a golden hair that made ​​him invincible. Komaitho cut out of love to her father 's hair, whereupon Amphytrion conquered the taphischen Islands. After the conquest of the islands Komaitho was killed by Amphitryon.
