Combressol

Combressol is a commune with 339 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Corrèze, in the Limousin region. The municipality is a member of the Association of Municipalities Ussel - Meymac - Haute- Corrèze. The inhabitants call themselves Combressolois (it).

Geography

The municipality is located in the Massif Central on the Plateau de Millevaches and thus also in the Regional Natural Park Millevaches en Limousin.

Tulle, prefecture of the department is located, about 40 kilometers south-west, Égletons about ten kilometers southwest and Ussel about 15 kilometers north-east.

Neighboring communities of Combressol are Meymac in the north, Saint-Angel in the east, Palisse in the southeast, southwest, and Maussac Darnets in the west.

Traffic

The village is located about ten kilometers north-east of exit 22 of the A89 autoroute.

Symbolism: The central gold - red checkerboard is an indication of the house Ventadour.
