Comité International Permanent des Études Mycéniennes

The International Committee of Permanent Études Mycéniennes ( CIPEM, English: Standing Committee for International Studies Mycenian ) is a device for standardization in the field of Mykenologie and related fields, founded in 1956, affiliated with UNESCO. Its subject is the non -alphabetic writing systems of the ancient Greek world, the Cretan hieroglyphs, Linear A and Linear B in the Aegean Bronze Age and the Cypro - Minoan writing and the Cyprian syllabary in the Bronze and Iron Age in Cyprus. It is responsible for the organization of international colloquia on Mykenologie, were carried out of which so far thirteen. The thirteenth was held in 2010 in Paris, the fourteenth will be held in Copenhagen.
