Commendatore

Commendatore ( German, Commander ' ) is a class in various Italian Order. Commendatore is in the middle of the hierarchy of religious classes, mostly about Cavaliere Ufficiale and, and Grande Ufficiale and Cavaliere di Gran Croce.

Commendatore was a class of 1815 donated the Military Order of Savoy ( Ordine Militare di Savoia ) of 1868 instituted the Order of the Crown of Italy ( Ordine della Corona d' Italia ) and the Colonial Order of the Star of Italy ( Ordine della Stella d' Italia coloniale ).

After the Second World War and the proclamation of the Republic Commendatore is now a class of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic ( Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana ), the Military Order of Italy ( Ordine militare d' Italia ) and the Order of the Star of Italian Solidarity ( Ordine della Stella della Solidarietà Italiana ).

The famous literary figure of the Commendatore is the father of Donna Anna in Don Giovanni by Mozart.

Frequently Commendatore is awarded to individuals who have rendered outstanding services to the economy of Italy. A famous example is Commendatore Enzo Ferrari. In this context, a comparison is given with state titles in other countries, for example, with the honorary title Kommerzialrat in Austria.
