Commer

Commer was a British truck manufacturer which was founded in 1905 as the Commercial Car Company and existed until 1979.

1907 Commer produced in Luton his first truck, also from 1909 Omnibus. During the First World War, the company produced over to military vehicles and built to 1919 more than 3000 trucks for the British Army.

In 1926 she was adopted after several bankruptcies, the Humber, both in 1931 became part of the Rootes Group. After that she became known as a manufacturer of postal vehicles with the Commer FC or Dodge Spacevan.

Chrysler took over in the 1970s, the Rootes Group.
