Commercial invoice

The commercial invoice is used for billing, as a base for the customs treatment in the importing country, as well as the review of the contract and as evidence in the purchase contract interference. It describes the following information in detail the goods:

  • Names and addresses of the contracting parties
  • Description of goods
  • The commodity code of the Combined Nomenclature
  • Agreed delivery and payment.

In some cases it is necessary to write the commercial invoice on a form from the consulate of the importing country and to have this confirmed by the consulate. One then speaks of a consular invoice.
