Common menus in Microsoft Windows

As a Most Recently Used ( MRU) is a function of the Windows operating system and its programs designated to facilitate the user of these programs frequently used items, such as command line in " Start \ Run ...", last used files in Microsoft Word, enter URLs in the browser and other frequently used items more quickly. Usually these lists are displayed in programs under " file".

To this end, in a file or the Windows registry ( Registry ... \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ Map Network Drive MRU) created a list. Apart from the actual items that usually with the alphabetic lowercase (abc be ..) named, also a value ( contains the default value ) register determines the order when reading the entries.
