Communards

With Communard (from French communard ) of the residents of a municipality referred to in the sense of a community that has come together under a common concept. The term is usually not used gender- specific and is rarely used in female form ( Kommunardin ).

Communards were first members of the Paris Commune, called a self-styled Parisian municipal committee, until May 1871 tried from March to establish a socialist government in Paris. As a result there were bloody battles, in which about 30,000 people were killed.

End of the 1960s, the Communards were also mentioned by members of communities in Germany, tested the new forms of social life. Some municipalities also came to the attention of the public, the community I and the Commune 2 in Berlin.
