The Communist Party of Iceland (Icelandic Kommúnistaflokkur Íslands, KFI. Kommfl or. ) Was from 1930 to 1938 a political party in Iceland. It was created in November 1930 when the Marxist wing within the Social Democratic Party of Iceland (Icelandic Alþýðuflokkurinn ) split off and founded an independent party. As president Brynjólfur Bjarnason was chosen the this office until the time of the party in the United People's Party - Socialist Party (Icelandic Sameiningarflokkur alþýðu - Sósíalistaflokkurinn ) held. The Communist Party of Iceland was a section of the Communist International.
