Communist Youth of Greece
The Communist Youth of Greece ( Κομμουνιστική Νεολαία Ελλαδας, KNE ) is the youth organization of the Communist Party of Greece (in short: KKE). It publishes the monthly magazine Odigitis (Greek: Οδηγητής, " Manual"), organized the Odigitis festival in most major cities of Greece and is a member of the World Federation of Democratic Youth.

KNE is organized according to the principle of democratic centralism.
History
Founded as the KNE on August 22, 1968 by decision of the Political Bureau of the KKE during the military junta in Greece ( 1967-1974 ) as an organization for the Communist Youth.
Between 1989 and 1991, the KNE crashed into an ideological crisis, which had various divisions and a loss of members result. This fact could also be counteracted and in 1993 the 6th Congress of the KNE took place. You could experience in recent years, a growing acceptance among the youth and take up a lot of new members. 2009, the MAS founded (Federation of Students struggle - Μέτωπο Αγώνα Σπουδαστών, ΜΑΣ ), in the organized communist students.
