Community Exchange System

The Community Exchange System (English for, local exchange trading system ', abbreviation CES ) is a globally accessible, community-based network of complementary currencies. His organizational units are independent local exchange trading systems in many countries. The exchange rings are connected by the CES website together, allow exchange operations on a global scale. This exchange takes place without the use of commercial money. Each local exchange trading has its own " currency" that the transferred values ​​between the exchanging parties holds in a system of accounts. The Community Exchange System was established as Cape Town Time Bank in February 2003 and was by its own account at the beginning of 2013 from 493 individual exchange rings in 53 countries. CES is the first and only worldwide network for exchange rings by means of complementary currencies.

New users can log in to a local exchange trading system, either physically or online and order them, an account is opened in the CES in this exchange ring. This account gives users access to a market by category, where they offer or can bid on stored there demands out their goods and services. New and existing exchange rings and time banks can log in to CES and be part of the global exchange network, or function as a closed user group.
