Community of interest (computer security)

Community of Interest ( German community of interest ) is a term that was predominantly influenced by the computer-aided group work. Among them is a group of people to understand who have a common interest in a particular topic, such as stamp collectors or fans of a pop group. The members of the group exchange usually ideas and thoughts about their field of interest.

Closely related is the concept with which the community of practice. There are groups of people (eg, workplace, neighborhoods) have as a common participation in a process, or the presence in a common location, but still have different objectives

Communities generally

The members of a community need to edit any common problem, but only have common interests. In rare cases may exist here a parent group goal; but a marked difference to the team is also still the physical and organizational separation of the working areas of the members (and thus the lack of common artifacts).
