The Community America Ballpark is a baseball stadium in Kansas City, Kansas, United States.

Description

The stadium is on the Community America Credit Union, a financial institution in Kansas City, which has bought the naming rights of the stadium. The official size of the stadium is 91 meters along the " left field line", 121 meters along the center and 100 meters along the "right field line." The stadium has 6,537 fixed seats.

History

Construction began on 4 September 2002 and was completed in just nine months. The opening took place on 6 June 2003. The attendance record in baseball was 10,345 spectators on 23 June 2007 In Major League Soccer, the record was on 29 March 2008 at 10,385 spectators.

Before the start of the season in year 2008 2.172 additional seats were created in the Left field, which increased the original number of 4365 seats to 6537.

On 3 June 2007, a world record was held in the stadium, in which 1,683 guitarists played the Deep Purple song " Smoke on the Water ".
