Companhia Aeronáutica Paulista

The Companhia Aeronáutica Paulista which was also known as CAP or Paulista, was a Brazilian aircraft manufacturer in São Paulo, was established in 1942. In the same year he took over the Empresa Aeronáutica Ypiranga and with it the most important product, the CAP- 4 Paulistinha. Despite the strong sales of this aircraft ( nearly 800 were built ), the company came in 1948 in financial difficulties and was forced to close in 1949. The remaining assets were nationalized, and eventually taken over by Neiva.
