Compañía Española de Petróleos

Compañía Española de Petróleos ( Cepsa ) is a Spanish company based in Madrid. The company is active in the petroleum industry.

History

In 1929, the company was founded. 1939 controlled 75 percent of the Juan March Compañía Española de Petróleos SA ( Cepsa ), which operated the production strongest Spanish oil refinery at Santa Cruz de Tenerife. There, crude oil was refined from the United States, Venezuela and Romania. Cepsa had at that time for sale of oil a monopoly on the Canary Islands, Spanish Morocco and for re-export to campsa.
