COMPASS-2

COMPASS -2 is a small satellite in the CubeSat format, the students of the FH Aachen and RWTH Aachen develop since early 2009. He is a triple- CubeSat be and is 100x100x340, 5 mm ³ and 3 kg mass a nano satellite.

Mission objective

The goal of the Compass 2 is the development and construction of a universal experimentation and technology platform as a triple - CubeSat for the consolidation of an international standard.

In order to achieve this object, the satellite bus system designed for two universal payloads. All subsystems are based on COMPASS -1 and are developed with the experience gained to a better satellite system with higher reliability and efficiency. The boxes in the outer cubes are designed so that different experiments can be carried out in one or even two dice.
