Based on the linguistics of Noam Chomsky of action regulation theorists Volpert led (1974 ) the " action competence " and defined " efficient action as a stable - flexible".

Erpenbeck / Rosenstiel (2003) meant by ' activity and umsetzungesorientierten competencies " the " Asset, (...) all other skills - personal, professional, methodological and social-communicative - to integrate into one's own will and drive to implement actions successfully. "

Competence is the competence

  • Expertise,
  • Social competence,
  • Achieved self-competence.

The competencies methodological skills, communication skills and learning skills " are an intrinsic part of professional competence, personal competence and social competence. "

In the action-oriented teaching students or students should develop the competence (s) out - and after- life world. Methodologically, this objective is a task-and results-oriented learning by doing and learning through interaction - often in partner or group work - come on, that appeals to the emotional side of students, thereby promoting their socio -affective competencies.

In the " Guidelines for the development of framework curricula of the Standing Conference for vocational instruction in the vocational school ... " of September 2011, the development of action competence is listed as an educational goal. Competence is in the dimensions: divided expertise self-competence (previously referred to as human competence) and social skills. A balanced interaction of these three dimensions of competence results in the requirement for additional skills terms ( accents ): methodological skills, communication skills and learning skills.

Objective of vocational training is the vocational skills of the trainees.

Psychology

The relocation of the term competence in the discussion about education policy often obstructs the view that action and the acquisition of practical skills in particular is a psychological- pedagogical concept, closely linked with the concrete set of individual development of man. The investigations have shown by René Spitz: infants who have not had the opportunity to interact with adults who were (very) later disturbed and possibly their lives in their social behavior, depending on the situation and the possibility of interaction with caregivers. The same has also been demonstrated in animal experiments (FW Harlow ).

In the interaction of the individual with the (re) world, in every individual something like a personal orientation in which the learning outcomes and their strategic importance are created for the actions of the individual developed. So each person has different orientations in any situation depending on the situation and their meaning. Thereafter, and on the basis of these backgrounds, he interprets the ( social) situation. Accordingly, it is oriented the trade or the specific action sequences. The orientation is, however, continually and in healthy people place permanently. One might call this the dynamics of the individual orientation or action plans.
